Memories That Last

A big part of family life is making memories that will last a lifetime - or more. As a child I really enjoyed looking at my Mom's scrapbooks and learning about her life. My daughter also enjoyed looking at my old photo albums, and she became a very avid scrap book artist, often making photo book gifts for her friends.

I tried turning my photo albums into traditional scrap books at one point, but was overwhelmed by the cost of all the cute little embellishments, tools etc. I also didn't have enough space to set up a working area without packing up the mess everyday, and it seemed to take a lot of time just to get a page or two done. It really became more of a chore than a pleasure, so I gave up on the traditional method and the remnants sit in my attic. In the mean time I found something easier, faster, and less expensive!

I Found Digital Scrapbooking & Crafts

Digital software does not have to cost a fortune. I started using Serif Photo Plus instead of the more expensive photo editing software, and found it to be easy and fun, and it suited most of my needs. Later I tried Draw Plus for digital art projects, business cards, buttons, banners, stationary, and lots of other artistic projects. The software is easy to learn and use.

Recently I started using Craft Artist to make digital greeting cards and scrap book pages. Like all Serif products, Craft Artist is easy to use and fun. So easy and fun that kids can use it. If you have an artistic child I highly recommend getting them started with Craft Artist, because they can learn and create wonderful projects really quickly.
