Family Fun

Eating Out With The Kids

photo from Smart Parenting.com
I remember the embarrassing food all over the floor of the restaurant, and the stares from other customers, when our kids were really little. I felt so bad for the restaurant staff that it made me not want to take the kids out to eat again. As hard as we would try to keep things neat and under control, it's not easy with babies and toddlers.

The good news is, it does get easier, and taking kids out to eat is a great learning opportunity. I found this new site I want to share with you called "Can Do" Street, where there are lots of games and activities to help young children learn about good choices. While you're there, check out the "Can Do" Street Chef's Club, where you will find a nationwide directory of kid friendly restaurants! You will also find restaurants where kids can eat free, and kid friendly recipes.

I wish I had this resource when my kids were little! You can follow the "Can Do" Chef's Club on Twitter to keep up to date with the latest kid friendly eats @CanDoChefsClub.  Have fun eating out!
